How do I clean and maintain marble?

Marble, needs to be cleaned with any non-abrasive material. These products will loose their finish if cleaned with an abrasive cleaner. Low PH cleaners such as mild dish detergent and warm water are the best cleaners. Monthly, a marble polish (we recommend Italian Craftsman Marble/Granite Polish) applied builds a protective barrier for your stone.

Can marble be used in the kitchen?

It can but we do not recommend its use in the kitchen because of its tendency to stain and scratch. However, because of its beauty and the classic look, marble is an excellent choice for vanities, wet bars, accent pieces and fireplace surrounds.

2cm marble weighs approximately 13.5lbs. per square foot. Marble is easily supported by standard floor and cabinet systems.
